Description	:	Trust officer for RI Hosptial Trust Company for 43 years. Came to this city in 1884 from Woodstock, Conn. He entered Bryant & Stratton Business Collge. Before going to the trust company as bookkeepr in 1893, he was employed by the Providence Oil Co., Callender, McAuslan & Troup Co., and J.B. Barnaby & Co. Associates of Mr. Harrington presented him with a gold watch and officials of the company pased a resolution upon his retirement last summer. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alfreda Shattuck Harrington, his daughters, Mrs. Henry T. Cook and Mrs. A. Howard Swanson; a step-son,... Gardiner Shattuck of Boston; a sister Mrs. Effie Jenks of Plainfield, Conn, and a grandchild. He was for many years treasurer of the Rhode Island Historical Society. He was treasurer of Trinity Methodist Episcopal Church and treasurer of the New England Methodist Conference. At one time he was a member of the board of trustees of Rhode Island Hospital and he had formerly served as treasurer of the YMCA. He was a member of Orpheus Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons, and of Providence Art Club.
