Ralph Kallweit officiated at the 2:00 p.m. service with Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Hungness and Mrs. Alf Garnaas providing the musical selections. Mr. Christenson passed away at City Hospital in New Rockford on 28 Sep 1968. He was 97 years old. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery near Sheyenne. He was the son of Gunder and Ellen Christenson. When he was six months old he came to the United States to Brown County, MN. In 1899 he married Myrtle Johnson at Toronto, SD and in 1908 they moved to Sheyenne. During the years he worked as an elevator and lumber yard manager. After his retirement he became the well-known Raleigh man throughout the territory. Mrs. Christenson passed away in 1955 after which Gilbert made his home with the Charles Stedman family. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Goldie) Seastrand and Mrs. Charles (Columbine) Stedman both of Sheyenne; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
