Description	:	Services for G.C. Peterson, 75, of Gilman who died Saturday at St. Thomas Mercy hospital, will be held at the Gilman Community Church at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in charge of Rev. Raymond Hartsough. Burial will be in the Friends cemetery west of LeGrand. Mr. Peterson was born Sept. 20 1872 in Keokuk, the son of Lars and Kistene Peterson. When he was a child the family moved to Gilman, later to a farm south of Dunbar. In 1898 he married Julia Shelley. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last March. The couple farmed northwest of Gilman, moved to Dunbar and in 1920 returned to the Gilman community. Mr. Peterson was a member of the Gilman Community church. Surviving besides the widow are a daughter, Mrs. Orville Grimes of Marshalltown; three brothers, Ed of Dunbar, Lewis of Liscomb and Andrew of Huxley. Two grandchildren also survive.
