Description	:	Eldon---G. Earle Knedler, 84, of 115 Castor died Monday at 8:54pm at Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield. He was born January 16, 1891, at Hickman Mills, Missouri, the son of Robert and Sarah Christopher Knedler. He was a Blakesburg resident most of his life and worked in the funeral business from 1923 to 1965. He was a 1930 graduate of Hohenschuh-School of Carpenter College at St. Louis, Missouri. Earle Knedler, 84, of 115 Castor died Monday at 8:54pm at Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield. He was born January 16, 1891, at Hickman Mills, Missouri, the son of Robert and Sarah Christopher Knedler. He was a Blakesburg resident most of his life and worked in the funeral business from 1923 to 1965. He was a 1930 graduate of Hohenschuh-School of Carpenter College at St. Louis, Missouri. He was the owner of the Knedler Funeral Home and the Knedler Furniture Store from 1930 to 1965, when he retired and moved to Eldon. He was a member of the Christian Church in Blakesburg, a 50 year member of the Odd Fellow Benedict Lodge 584, a fifty year member of the Waveland Lodge 596 AF and AM, and a district lecturer. He married Florence Johnson December 22, 1913 in Davis County. She survives as does one daughter, Maxine Shields of Eldon. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. The service will be Thursday at 2pm at Reese Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Plum of Albia and the Rev. Earl Menning of Eldon officiating. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery. A Masonic service will be Wednesday at 7:30pm at the funeral home.
