(Gib) Cheek, resident of the Woodside community, will be conducted this afternoon at 5 o'clock at the Woodside Baptist church by Rev. J.J. Sparks and Rev. Paul Kinnett. Interment will be made at Graceland Cemetery. The death of Mr. Cheek occurred at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Courtney Heath of 9-11 West Main St. Woodside at 6:25 o'clock yesterday morning. Mr. Cheek was engaged in the textile industry as long as his health permitted, having retired several years ago. He was born April 24, 1876, and was the son of the late Oliver and Nancy Cheek, both natives of Georgia. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Carrie Hudgens Cheek; three daughters, Mrs. Courtney Heath, Mrs. J.F. Vehorn, and Mrs. Ola Busbee of Greenville. Two sisters, Mrs. Will Kenneth of Union and Mrs. Jim Harmon of Old Fort, NC; 17 grandchildren & two great-grandchildren.
