Description	:	Obit: HUBBARD-Gilbert (Gib) Otto Dubberke, 74, of Hubbard, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 20 at 1:30 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hubbard, with burial in the Hubbard Cemetery. Gilbert was born June 11, 1926, at the Eldora Hospital to Vern and Esther Balvanz Dubberke. He is survived by two sons, Doug and his wife, Judy, and Randy and his friend Deb Topp, all of Hubbard; two daughters, Shelly Petersen and husband, Jon, of Ackley and Stacey Harms of Eldora; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six step grandchildren and nine step great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Hoelscher of Hubbard; two nephews Gene Hoelscher of Charlotte, N.C., and Lonnie Hoelscher of Radcliffe. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife in 1996; and a son, David.
