Smith, an employee of the United Electric Light and Power Company died this afternoon, at St. Elizabeths hospital. From the time that Smith received his burns which were of a most serious nature, extending almost the whole length of the body and around it, little hope was entertained for his recovery. During the period during which he was between life and death, he was in dreadful agony as the burns were internal as well as external. The deceased is survived by a wife and a thirteen year old daughter, who live in Hutchinson. Besides these, there are his parents and four brothers and three sisters. One brother, R. H. Smith arrived this morning from Kanapolis to take charge of the body which will be taken to Kanapolis for burial. The body is temporarily at Crocker's Funeral Home. Smith was 39 years of age and had been in Hutchinson but three weeks, having come here from Hepler, Utah with his wife and daughter to take a position with the local light company. He had made his home at 11S Second.
