Description	:	Gilt J.(Joe) Iannetta passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2009, at his daughter Linda's home in Leavenworth, at age 95. He was born on Dec. 2, 1913, to Raffael and Maria Iannetta in Kennewick. He spent his early years in Spokane and later moved to Wenatchee where he worked at Milo Mills greenhouse and later owned his own landscaping business in Wenatchee. Read More	Gilt J.(Joe) Iannetta passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2009, at his daughter Linda's home in Leavenworth, at age 95. He was born on Dec. 2, 1913, to Raffael and Maria Iannetta in Kennewick. He spent his early years in Spokane and later moved to Wenatchee where he worked at Milo Mills greenhouse and later owned his own landscaping business in Wenatchee. He met and married Elsie Hartl (1915-2000) and they had three children there: Gloria, Robert R and Michael. They then moved to Grand Coulee in 1942 where he worked for the USBR. He enlisted in the Army and served during World War II in Okinawa. He returned home and their youngest daughter Linda was born in Coulee Dam where he lived until August of last year. He continued his passion for gardening after retiring from the USBR having a greenhouse at his home where many locals came each year to buy his beautiful flowers and vegetables. Joe loved his gardening and was known for his beautiful flowers. Joe's work can still be seen in local parks: Douglas Park and rockwork around the former swim pool and tennis courts in Coulee Dam, along with the many homes he landscaped. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Elsie; brothers Armand and Albert and sisters Maria and Vera. Joe is survived by children: Gloria (Glenn) Bowman of Brewster, Robert R (Ellen) of Ellensburg, Michael (Neoma) of Grand Coulee and Linda (Ben) Logue of Leavenworth. Grandchildren: Robert, Larry, Danny and Timothy Bowman; Cindy Brown, Robert A. and Rodney Iannetta; Michael John Iannetta, Terri McPherson, Sheilah Payne and Shay and Shadd Logue. Also many great- and great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice. Services will be held on Friday, May 22, at 2 p.m. at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Grand Coulee with burial following in Spring Canyon Cemetery.
