Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday November 21, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church in Muscatine. Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. The Reverend Gary MacManus and Reverend John Meyer will officiate. Mrs. Gisela Creamer was born September 27, 1926, in Berkheim, Germany, the daughter of Konrad and Maria Arpogaus Madlener. She married Frank Creamer on June 3, 1948, in Berkheim, Germany. She worked as a draftsman at Carver Pump in Muscatine, and had attended all the Christmas parties until her recent illness. As a child, she grew up in Germany during World War II. She enjoyed swimming and helped to care for her blind father. She met her husband, Frank, in Germany when he was in the United States Army during the European Theater. She was a war bride and arrived at Ellis Island in New York in September 1948. One of her greatest loves was the time she spent with her adopted grandsons: Graham, Gregory, and Geoffrey Walker. She enjoyed crocheting, decorating eggs, and other crafts. She was very proud of her United States citizenship, voted at every opportunity. Gisela has missed the love of her life since his passing in 2007 and has now moved on to join him. Survivors include her adopted family Wesley and Barbara Walker; great nephew Lanny Creamer, and wife Rachel, and kids Hannah and Alex; adopted grandchildren Graham Walker, Gregory Walker, and wife Elizabeth and daughter Brielle, and Geoffrey Walker; nephew Roland Madlener, and wife Barbara, and kids Phillip and Cornelia, of Germany; sister-in-law Marta Madlener, of Germany; good friends Ruth and Mike Newman; Judy and Wayne Shoultz; Linda and Bob McWirt, Tom and Micki Ahlf; and many more family and friends. Gisela was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a brother, Edwin.
