Read More	Published on May 2, 2012 ADDISON, Gladys A. 1924 ~ September 11, 2002 It is with great sadness we announce the loss of our beloved mother and grandmother, Gladys Addison, who passed from our arms to the arms of God at 9:26 today. Her passing was very peaceful and she was surrounded by her family. Mom died the way she lived, with dignity and courage, uncomplaining throughout and relying on her faith. Mom was predeceased by her parents and her beloved husband, Tom in 1998 as well as much loved brothers Lloyd Olson and Roy Olson. Many nieces and nephews are in the family and are also celebrating Mom's life. Gladys chose a poem which she found very meaningful and asked it be shared at this time. She is Gone I am standing on the sea shore. A ship spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the ocean. She is an object of beauty and I stand watching her till at last she fades on the horizon, and someone at my side says, "She is gone", There are others who are watching her coming. Other voices take up the glad shout "There she comes," and that is dying. ~ Henry Scott Holand ~ There will be no funeral or memorial service. A private family interment will take place at Glenwood Memorial Gardens . Mom wished that in lieu of flowers donations be given to Gideon Bibles, S.P.C.A., or to the charity of one's choice.
