Description	:	Gladys C. White, 96, of Scribner died Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Scribner Good Samaritan Center. She was born Dec. 12, 1915, in rural Hooper to Nels and Fredericka (Weigle) Nelson. She was baptized on Dec. 30, 1922, at Zion Lutheran Church in Hooper. She grew up in the Hooper area, attended District 69 school and graduated from Hooper High School in 1933. She married Floyd White on April 18, 1937, in Fremont. They were lifetime residents of Dodge County. White, 96, of Scribner died Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Scribner Good Samaritan Center. She was born Dec. 12, 1915, in rural Hooper to Nels and Fredericka (Weigle) Nelson. She was baptized on Dec. 30, 1922, at Zion Lutheran Church in Hooper. She grew up in the Hooper area, attended District 69 school and graduated from Hooper High School in 1933. She married Floyd White on April 18, 1937, in Fremont. They were lifetime residents of Dodge County. She was a member of the United Lutheran Church in Scribner, the Ladies Aid and served on the Altar Guild. Survivors include: sons, Robert White of Scribner, Burnell White of Hooper, LaVern (Karen) White, Larry (Lois) White all of Scribner; a daughter, Sandra (Randy) Dames of Scribner; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Harry Hasemann of West Point; a sister-in-law, Bernice White of Hooper; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd, in August of 1984, a daughter-in-law, two brothers, two sisters, a grandson, and grand-daughter-in-law. The funeral will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the United Lutheran Church in Scribner. The Rev. Dr. Nicki McIntyre will officiate. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Monday with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. at the Scribner Funeral Chapel. Visitation will continue one hour before the service at the church in Scribner. Burial will follow in the Scribner Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the United Lutheran Church, Scribner Good Samaritan Center or the Scribner Rescue Squad. Online guestbook may be signed at www.hooper-scribner.com
