Description	:	Gladys Green, 84, of Oroville, died Sunday , April 19, 1998, at the North Valley Nursing Home in Tonasket. She was born January 10, 1914, in Webster County, Missouri, to parents James and Edith Kensinger. Gladys was raised on the family farm in Missouri. On November 12, 1932, she married Glenn Greene in Ozark, Missouri. During the Depression, they moved to California seeking work. Gladys worked 30 years for... Read More	Gladys Green, 84, of Oroville, died Sunday , April 19, 1998, at the North Valley Nursing Home in Tonasket. She was born January 10, 1914, in Webster County, Missouri, to parents James and Edith Kensinger. Gladys was raised on the family farm in Missouri. On November 12, 1932, she married Glenn Greene in Ozark, Missouri. During the Depression, they moved to California seeking work. In 1944 they brought their family to Oroville, Washington, and began working in the apple industry. In 1947 they purchased land near Oroville and later planted it to Orchard. Gladys worked 30 years for the Valley Evaporating Co. Oroville has been home these many years until ill health required nursing home card. Her husband, Glenn, preceded her in death in 1996. she was an active member of the Oroville Churchy of Christ. Gladys grew beautiful roses and loved sharing them with family and friends. She is survived by one son, Bill Greene of Oroville; two daughters, Barbara Shaw of Oroville and Nancy Zimmerman of Pateros; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by eight brothers and four sisters. Funeral services Thursday, April 23, 1998, at 11:00 am, at the Bergh Funeral Chapel in Oroville, Roy Teas officiating. Interment at Oroville Riverview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to North Valley Nursing Home in Tonasket. Bergh Funeral Service of Oroville in charge of arrangements.
