She was born on Oct. 1, 1920, in Stanley and was a daughter of the late Thomas R. and Peoria Elaine Good Turner. Mrs. Courtney was an LPN at Page Memorial Hospital and retired in March 1985 after 26 years of employment. She was a member of the Luray Church of the Brethren. She was preceded in death b four brothers and four sisters. Burial was in the Beahm's Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
