She was born on July 8, 1927, in Horry County, a daughter of the late George Ellie Graham and Addie Gunter Graham. She married Edgar Leroy Sessions on February 10, 1943. Read More	Gladys Graham Sessions went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 31, 2013. She was born on July 8, 1927, in Horry County, a daughter of the late George Ellie Graham and Addie Gunter Graham. She married Edgar Leroy Sessions on February 10, 1943. Mrs. Sessions "Granny" was loving and active with her family and will be missed abundantly. She was a good cook and cooked the best fried pork chops, fried chicken and homemade biscuits ever. Mrs. Sessions was a lifelong member of El-Bethel United Methodist Church and served in many capacities. Mrs. Sessions was the church treasurer for 30+ years, served on practically every church committee at one time or another, sang in the choir, taught children's Sunday School, and prepared communion. She worked for more than 20 years at AVX Ceramics and then later worked for many years at Collins Department Store/Peebles. She received several awards for selling more than $100,000 of merchandise per year. Granny was a humble, obedient, servant of the Lord. She was a care giver to many over the years and had a special affinity for all God's creatures. She enjoyed taking care of her chickens and peacocks, and particularly, sharing her bounty of fresh eggs with others. She had a green thumb. Her plants and yard flourished, she could root anything just by sticking it in the ground. Working in her yard gave her great joy. She loved children, especially babies. She has always been very active and very strong for her small size. She could do almost any task because she always had a willingness to try. Mrs. Sessions was always compassionate, caring and respectful to everyone. She was predeceased by her late husband who died on January 28, 1987; her brothers, Junior Graham, "J.C" Howard Graham, Willie Joe Graham, and Paul Eugene Graham; her sisters, Lucille Rogers Allen and Leola Graham; and her great grandson, Cody Leroy Suggs. Surviving Mrs. Sessions are two children, Jesse Leroy Sessions (Avis) and Gail Sessions Altman, both of Conway; two grandchildren, Crystal Sessions Suggs (Tracy) of Galivants Ferry and Monica Altman of Conway; the light of her life, her great grandson Colby Gordon Suggs; three sisters, Bonnie Causey of Florida, Margaret Martin and Leona Shelley of Conway; her sisters-in-law, Violet Dorman Graham (Paul) of Conway and Annie Sessions Graham ("JC" Howard) of Loris. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at El-Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Thom Avison officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Friday at the church.
