Description	:	Gladys Houff Fishback, 99, a resident of the Sunnyside Presbyterian Community, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005. Mrs. Fishback was born July 8, 1906, in Madison County and was the daughter of the late Meade and Maude Colvin Houff. She graduated from Madison County High School and from Dunsmore Business College in Staunton. In 1933 she married Jesse Nelson Fishback; he preceded her in death in July 1964. She was a member of the Madison Presbyterian Church where she served on the Board of Trustees, was treasurer of the church, and treasurer of the Women of the Church. She was also... Mrs. Fishback was born July 8, 1906, in Madison County and was the daughter of the late Meade and Maude Colvin Houff. She graduated from Madison County High School and from Dunsmore Business College in Staunton. In 1933 she married Jesse Nelson Fishback; he preceded her in death in July 1964. She was a member of the Madison Presbyterian Church where she served on the Board of Trustees, was treasurer of the church, and treasurer of the Women of the Church. She was also treasurer of the Hanover Presbyterial. She had been a resident of Sunnyside since 1984. She was employed by the Department of Motor Vehicles for 25 years. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Her body will be cremated at the Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
