Gladys Ida Forbes was born to Gustav and Martha (Dubberke) Mannetter August 21, 1924. She graduated at Hubbard High School, Class of 1942. On December 7, 1946, Gladys married Archie Forbes. Read More	Gladys Forbes, age 96, formerly of Hubbard, IA, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at the Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls, IA. Gladys Ida Forbes was born to Gustav and Martha (Dubberke) Mannetter August 21, 1924. She graduated at Hubbard High School, Class of 1942. On December 7, 1946, Gladys married Archie Forbes. They farmed east of Hubbard and happily raised their children Denbeigh, Carol, and Joyce. Gladys enjoyed caring for her family, fishing, gardening, singing, card playing, and the camaraderie of the United Church of Christ Women’s Guild, Lady card clubs, The American Legion Ladies’ Auxiliary, & as a Hospice of North Iowa Respite Care Volunteer. Gladys will be missed by her children Den and Julie Forbes, Kingston, MA; Carol and Patrick Smith, Ames, IA; son-in-law Terry and Charlene Krogh, New Providence; her four grandchildren, Kelly Forbes, Christine Binari, Susan Copp, and Kyle Krogh, (and their spouses); and her ten great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren living in Iowa, Massachusetts, New York and Georgia; plus Archie's foster siblings Betty Schnormeier, Karen Granzow, Dwight Clark (and their spouses), as well as many relatives and friends. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Archie, daughter Joyce Krogh, and her parents. The wearing of masks and respect for social distancing guidelines will be strictly adhered to. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there will be no visitation nor lunch following the services.
