She was born Oct. 12, 1904, at Toler to Charles V. and Maude (Toler) Slusser, Douglas County homesteaders. She graduated from Waterville High School in 1924. She married Harry R. Jones on June 1, 1927, at her family home. He preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 1995. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Disciples of Christ, a denomination affiliated with the Federated Church. She also was active in the Church Care Group. She was a member and past worthy matron of Harmony Chapter No. 56, Order of Eastern Star, and a former member of the Waterville Grange, Business and Professional Women's Club and Friendship Bible Studies. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara L. Firoved, Waterville; two sons, Paul M. of Chelan and Charles C. of Waterville; two sisters, Ethel Slusser Jones, Cashmere, and Edna Slusser George, Waterville; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a brother and two great-granddaughters. Arrangements are by the Waterville Funeral Home, Waterville.
