John Amundson will officiate and burial will follow at the Sunnyslope Cemetery in Mott. GLADYS LEONA SAILER was born on August 30, 1922 near Mott, ND to Jason and Matilda (Schumacher) Hawn. She attended a country school north of Mott. Gladys worked at cleaning houses for other people. She was united in marriage to Harry Hanson on June 8, 1943 in Bozeman, MT. They moved to Willmar, MN where they had a daughter born on November 15, 1943. They moved back to Mott in 1944. Harry worked at the Creamery for a few years then tried farming. He then worked for Rosin's Gas Station and Gladys worked at the Red and White store owned by Almond Grosz for years. They then ran the Blue Moon Café for 7 or 8 years. They later managed the Co-Op Grocery Store for a year, after which they ran a small cream station until they retired. Harry Hanson passed away on February 26, 1975. Gladys married Alvin Sailer on December 8, 1975 in South Dakota. They lived on the farm until retiring to Mott. Gladys and Alvin moved to Elgin and lived in the Dakota Hills apartments until entering the Jacobson Memorial Care Center in Elgin. Gladys enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading and doing crossword books. Gladys Sailer passed from this life at the Jacobson Memorial Hospital in Elgin on March 17th, 2005. She is survived by her husband, Alvin Sailer; her daughter and son-in-law, Genevieve and Melvin Bruhn, all of Elgin, ND; four grandchildren, Thad and Trish Bruhn and their children, Derek and Kayla, all of Rapid City, SD, Sherri and Travis Rafteseth and their children, Tanner, Tyler, Trevor and Tate, all of Elgin, ND, Keith and Stacy Bruhn and their child, Kaidyn, of Rapid City, SD and Melanie and Brandon Rafteseth and their child, Austyn, of Elgin, ND; brother, Kenneth and wife Nina Hawn, of Scranton, ND; sister, Eunice Meuler, of Burt, ND and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Gladys in death were her parents, her first husband, Harry Hanson, three brothers, Norman, Gordon and Robert Hawn and two sisters, Delores Pfiefle and Ella Mayer.
