Description	:	CHICOPEE - Gladys M. (Bridges) Case, 93, died on June 30 in Chicopee . She was the beloved wife of Russell C. Case, her husband of 66 years. The daughter of the late Harry and Florie (Clement) Bridges, she was a lifelong resident of Chicopee. Gladys graduated from Chicopee High School in 1928. She worked as a secretary at Westinghouse Electric in Chicopee Falls. Gladys was then a homemaker for many years before working as a clerk for the Chicopee School Department for 14 years. She was the beloved wife of Russell C. Case, her husband of 66 years. The daughter of the late Harry and Florie (Clement) Bridges, she was a lifelong resident of Chicopee. Gladys graduated from Chicopee High School in 1928. She worked as a secretary at Westinghouse Electric in Chicopee Falls. Gladys was then a homemaker for many years before working as a clerk for the Chicopee School Department for 14 years. She was a lifelong member of First Central Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. Gladys leaves four sons, Sidney R. Case and his wife Donna of Ridgefield, CT; Eugene E. Case and his wife Kathleen of Newburyport, MA; James W. Case and his wife, Kathleen of Yarmouth, ME; and Charles R. Case and his wife Terese of Fairfield, CT; two daughters, Virginia Case Giokas and her husband, William of Wilbrahm, MA and Judith Case Zeck and her husband Erik of Myersville, MD; a daughter-in-law, Janet Case of Chicopee , MA; 18 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She also leaves one sister, Dorothy Bridges of Chicopee . She was predeceased by her son, David C. Case, and a grandson, Andrew M. Case. The funeral was July 3 from the Cierpial Memorial Home with burial at Fairview Cemetery , followed by a Memorial Service at First Central Baptist Church in Chicopee Falls. Contributions can be made in her memory to the First Central Baptist Church, 50 Broadway, Chicopee , Falls, MA. 01020.
