Read More	Gladys Marie Frantz September 15, 1928 - December 6, 2020 Cumberland, MD – Gladys Marie Frantz, 92, of Cumberland, MD passed away on December 6, 2020 at Allegany Health Nursing Home and is now at rest in the arms of her heavenly Father. Born in Ridgeley, WV, on September 15, 1928, and spending most of her childhood on the family farm in Flintstone, MD. She was the daughter of the late Irwin Ketterman and Dora (Morral) Ketterman. In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 35 years: Herbert “Buddy” Frantz; her siblings: Wade and Cecil Ketterman; Dorothy Bartholow; her half-sister: Ethel Grapes; her half-brother: Orville Ketterman; her son-in-law: Roger Thompson; and her great granddaughter: Alivia Arbogast. Gladys is survived by her five children: Linda Thompson, Furnace Acres, WV; Jerry Frantz and wife, Roxanne Cumberland, MD; Sandy Reed and husband, Jack Charles Town, WV; Bonnie Lewis and husband Steve, Cumberland, MD; Cindy Arbogast and husband, Gene, Cumberland, MD; and Betsy Delozier, whom she loved like a daughter; eight grandchildren, Tina and Shane Thompson, Nathan and Randy Reed, Tonya Hensel, Jason Frantz, Bob Arbogast and Sheree Glencoe; 20 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother-in-law, Clyde Bartholow. Gladys was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. She had a heart of giving and treating those around her with love and respect. She made her children believe that each one is special and her absolute favorite. She had a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh. She was the first to clap and the last to stop. She was a busy homemaker, yet she always had time for a mean game of badminton over the clothesline. She loved to dance and enjoyed the attention. She was an amazing cook and baker that enjoyed entertaining and church socials. For many years she was adored by numerous children in her Sunday school classes at Elliott United Methodist Church. As her children grew up and married, she spent most of her free time at Central Assembly of God Church of which she was a member. She loved attending the services, volunteering with Bereavement dinners and making chocolate covered Easter eggs in the church kitchen. She made a difference and lifetime friendships. She was a woman of God, loving her Lord and a strong teacher of faith to her children. They truly know they are blessed by God for choosing them to be mothered by her. The family would like to express their appreciation to the Allegany Health Nursing Home's staff for their compassionate care and love given to our mom over the years. Special love and admiration for mom's roommate, Jeanette Chipman for her devotion in caring for our mom. If she could, mom would recite this to each and every one of you. John 3:16 NIV.
