Read More	Mrs. John Brandt of Imperial Passed Away Suddenly Monday A.M. Mrs. Gladys Mable Brandt, the daughter of Fred Newman and his wife, Maria, nee Deauchou, was born on September 22nd, 1906, at Guide Rock, Nebr. The early years of her life were spent in that vicinity. During the first World War, she moved with her parents to Chase County and resided in this community ever since that time. On August 7th, 1927, she was united in marriage with John Brandt at Imperial. Two children were born to this union. Mr. and Mrs. Brandt lived on a farm northwest of Imperial till a few years ago, when they moved into Imperial and made their home here. Her final illness was of short duration. Mrs. Brandt entered the Chase County Community Hospital Saturday for treatment and passed away unexpectedly early Monday morning, January 6th. She had attained the age of 51 years, three months, and 12 days. Her early departure is mourned by her husband and two children, grandchildren; two sisters and six brothers, Mrs. Elliott (Nellie) Stinnette and Mrs. Olan (Mary) Wallin, Imperial; Ralph, Holyoke; Arthur, Wauneta; Cecil, Champion; Charles, George, and Lyle of Imperial. Mrs. Brandt was baptized in the Christian Church at Guide Rock in her infancy and was confirmed in Zion Lutheran Church at Imperial by the Rev. Fred Elze on January 25, 1928. She was a faithful wife and mother, and an active member of Zion Lutheran Church and Zion Ladies' Aid. Funeral services for the deceased were held January 8th, at Zion Lutheran Church, the Rev. W.A. Meyer officiating and interment was in the local cemetery.
