Description	:	The following provided by Find A Grave contributor Michael Spurzem Gladys May Gollaher, age 81, of Helena, formerly of Cascade, died Sunday afternoon Sept. 22, 2002, in Helena from complication following a stroke. Gladys was born in Bozeman Jan. 10, 1921, to Grover and Martha Emma (Sines) Wortman. She received her education in Bozeman and married Willard Gollaher in Entiat, Wash., Nov. 5, 1939. Gladys and her husband owned and operated the Gollaher Ranch southeast of Cascade for several years. Willard preceded her in death in January 1970. Read More	The following provided by Find A Grave contributor Michael Spurzem Gladys May Gollaher, age 81, of Helena, formerly of Cascade, died Sunday afternoon Sept. 22, 2002, in Helena from complication following a stroke. Gladys was born in Bozeman Jan. 10, 1921, to Grover and Martha Emma (Sines) Wortman. She received her education in Bozeman and married Willard Gollaher in Entiat, Wash., Nov. 5, 1939. Gladys and her husband owned and operated the Gollaher Ranch southeast of Cascade for several years. Willard preceded her in death in January 1970. Gladys was a leader for the Girl Scouts in Cascade, a member of the Cowbells in Great Falls and Cascade, and the Chestnut Valley Circle, Cascade. While living in Helena, Gladys worked as a volunteer at St. Peter's Hospital. Here she enjoyed pinochle club, camping and traveling. In addition to her husband, Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Lewis, Irvin and Elson Wortman, and her devoted companion, Armond Beckstrom. She is survived by her son Myrle Gollaher of Cascade; daughters, Carol Spitzer of Spangle, Wash., and Linda McDaniel of Lolo; siblings, Orville Wortman of Whitehall, and Pauline Portnell of Bozeman; six grandchildren, Brett Boynton, Brian Boynton, Mike Gollaher, Ted Gollaher, Travis Spitzer and Traci Spitzer; four great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. Visitation will begin at noon Thursday, Sept. 26, at Retz Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at the Retz Funeral Home Chapel. Interment services will be at 3:30 p.m. in Highland Cemetery in Great Falls. Memorials are suggested to an organization of the donor's choice.
