OBITUARY: Gladys Stogdill Gladys Mildred Stogdill, the daughter of Percy and Bertha (Townsend) Davis, was born at Burwell, Nebraska, on May 4, 1922, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on July 22, 1992, at the age of 70 years, 2 months, and 19 days. She grew up and attended rural school through the 8th grade near Burwell, and graduated from high school at Central City in 1939. She then worked in Central City until her marriage to Lloyd Galusha in March of 1942, at Wayne, Nebraska. They lived in Burwell and Broken Bow, and in 1952, they moved to Thedford. On June 2, 1958, she married Loiel Stogdill, at Alliance. They lived in Thedford until 1963, when they moved to Kearney, and she worked as a cook at the Country Club, Land Mark Café, and the West Company. In 1978, they moved to Giltner, where they have since resided. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Donald Davis. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Loiel, of Giltner; one son, Roger Galusha of Grand Island; 4 daughters, Karen Harwager of Dunning, Kathy Shonkwiler of Omaha, Marcia Galusha of Giltner, and Doreen Muldoon of Lincoln; 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
