Description	:	Gladys Nadine Kessler Gladys Nadine Kessler, 72, Shelbyville, died Friday at 4:30 p.m. at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill., where she had been a patient for some time. Mrs. Kessler was born in Shelby County, September 8, 1905, a daughter of the late Orville Otis and Zilpha Ann Farr McCully. She was married June 22, 1930 in Quincy, Ill., to Chester J. Kessler, who survives. Also surviving are, one son, Keith Kessler of Quincy, Ill., and other relatives. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Shelbyville Christian Church with Br. Tom Plumb, minister, and Eugene Waite of Springfield, Mo., assisting. Burial... Mrs. Kessler was a member of the Shelbyville Christian Church; Chapter M. P.E.O.; Shelbyville Bridge Club; Happy Hustlers Sunday School Class. She attended schools in Shelby County and graduated from Kirksville Teachers College at Kirksbville. She taught some rural schools in Shelby, Ind. before coming here. She and her husband taught in Shelbyville schools from 1943 to 1963. She was an English teacher in high school before retiring. A Kessler Scholarship fund was started several months ago honoring Mr. and Mrs. Kessler. Donations to the scholarship may be sent to the Greening Funeral Home in Shelbyville.
