Gladys was born on June 15, 1918 on the family farm near Hooper to Emil and Rosalie (Nielsen) Petersen. She grew up in the Hooper – Uehling area and graduated from Hooper High School. Read More	Gladys Larson June 15, 1918 - Dec. 25, 2013 Gladys Larson age 95 of Fremont died Wednesday December 25, 2013 at her home. Gladys was born on June 15, 1918 on the family farm near Hooper to Emil and Rosalie (Nielsen) Petersen. She grew up in the Hooper – Uehling area and graduated from Hooper High School. On March 23, 1941, Gladys was married in Hooper to Roland Larson. They farmed between Hooper and Uehling until moving into Fremont in the late 1970's. At one time she had worked for a dress shop in Hooper. Gladys was a member of the First Congregational Church, UCC in Fremont and she had been a member of the Wo-He-Lo Club of Uehling. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband on March 24, 1981. Also preceding her were 2 brothers and a sister. Survivors: 2 sons – Duane and wife LaNelle Larson of Fremont Dale and wife Diane Larson of Lincoln 4 grandchildren 6 great grandchildren sister-in-law – Charlotte Petersen of Blair The funeral service will be 10:30 AM Monday (Dec. 30, 2013) at the First Congregational Church, UCC in Fremont with Pastor Larry Jirsak. The committal will be in the Hooper, Nebraska Cemetery. Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary, Fremont, will be on Sunday (Dec. 29th) from 2 to 7 PM with the family present from 5 to 7 PM.
