Gladys was born October 19, 1917, at Marysville, daughter of Frank and Bertha (Rickert) Yaussi. She graduated from Marysville High School in 1936 and worked in the treasurers office at the courthouse, then at Exchange Bank until marriage. On January 21, 1941, she was united in marriage to Weldon Eddy at the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Marysville. Read More	Gladys Phyllis (Yaussi) Eddy, 93, of Marysville, died Thursday, October 28, 2010, in Overland Park Kansas. Gladys was born October 19, 1917, at Marysville, daughter of Frank and Bertha (Rickert) Yaussi. She graduated from Marysville High School in 1936 and worked in the treasurers office at the courthouse, then at Exchange Bank until marriage. On January 21, 1941, she was united in marriage to Weldon Eddy at the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Marysville. She then worked for Peoples Building & Loan for 20 years until retiring in 1980 as a corporate secretary. Gladys was a member of Women's Fellowship E.U.C.C., was a church organist and a member of the church choir. She was a member of several bridge and pinocle clubs, was a member of the Country Club, and liked to play golf. She had joined a sewing club, knitting club, mystery sisters club and was a member of Women of the Moose. In the mornings, she would be found working in her garden. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Weldon on August 14,1985; one brother, Chet Yaussi; and two sisters, Violet Millenbruch and Verda Petersen. Survivors include two sons, Tom Eddy (Marty), Overland Park, KS, Robert Eddy (Joyce), Topeka, KS; one daughter, Pam Byers (Bill), Plano, TX; sister, Bernice Lueers, Marysville; one sister-in-law, Mary Alice Yaussi, Marysville; brother-in-law, Charles Eddy (Laura Lee), of Manhattan, KS. funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 30, at the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Marysville. The Rev. Judy Scott officiated. Burial was in the Marysville City Cemetery.
