Mrs. Hoffman was born June 18, 1905, to A.M. and Mary (Etter) Beall in Richland Township in South Dakota. She grew up near Cavour, S.D. She graduated from Huron Academy in Huron, S.D., and John Fletcher College in Oskaloosa, Iowa. She married Kenneth Hoffman June 8, 1932. She taught school in South Dakota and Nebraska. Mrs. Hoffman was born June 18, 1905, to A.M. and Mary (Etter) Beall in Richland Township in South Dakota. She grew up near Cavour, S.D. She graduated from Huron Academy in Huron, S.D., and John Fletcher College in Oskaloosa, Iowa. She married Kenneth Hoffman June 8, 1932. She taught school in South Dakota and Nebraska. The Hoffmans moved to Minden in 1947 and later owned and operated the Gambles-Skogmos store. They retired in 1973. Her husband died Feb. 1, 1995. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Minden and taught Sunday school for many years. She was a member of the Minden Women's Club and was active as a volunteer in the community. Survivors are one son, Rodney of Arvada, Colo.; two daughters, Ardyce Jensen of Huron, S.D., and Sharon Alonso of Axtell; four sisters, Mildred Kleinsasser of Huron, S.D., Lola Loudenslager of Turlock, Calif., Lois Hackbarth of Dows, Iowa, and Fern Knight of St. Augustine, Fla.
