Gladys was born January 28, 1939 in Prague, Nebraska to George and Mildred (Slosser) Prochaska. She was raised on a farm near Prague and was a 1956 graduate of Prague High School. She also attended Midland Teaching College and received a one year teaching certificate. Gladys married Don A. Chvatal on July 30, 1958 in David City, Nebraska. Gladys was born January 28, 1939 in Prague, Nebraska to George and Mildred (Slosser) Prochaska. She was raised on a farm near Prague and was a 1956 graduate of Prague High School. She is survived by her husband, Don of 58 years; son, Terry and wife, Vicki Chvatal of Omaha, Nebraska; daughters, Karen Michaelson and husband, Mark NewVille of Lincoln, Nebraska, Linda and husband, Mark Brower of North Bend, Nebraska, Donna and husband, Jon Schuetz of Omaha, and Rose and husband, J.B. Suddarth of York, Nebraska; grandchildren, Annie Slattery, Ryan Schuetz, Matthew Schuetz, Jamie Schuetz, Josie Lee, Erin Lee, Julia Lee, Jacob Chvatal, and Logan Chvatal; step grandchildren, Jeff Kruger, Josh NewVille, Drake Suddarth and Blair Suddarth; and great grandchild, Parker Slattery. She was preceded in death by parents; infant brother, George Prochaska, Jr., and infant great grandson, Grant Slattery. Funeral Service will be 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Moser Memorial Chapel in North Bend, Nebraska. The Rev. Scott Jensen will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Funeral Home in North Bend and burial will be at Prague National Cemetery at Prague, Nebraska. Memorials may be directed to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation or to the family for designation at a later date." Moser Memorial Chapel, 1040 N. Main Street, North Bend, NE 68649.
