Description	:	Mrs. Gladys King passed away at the Raymond General Hospital on Sunday, July 13, 1997 at the age of 80 years. Gladys is survived by two sons, Thomas Owen and Douglas Nilsson (Lu) King, both of Grande Prairie and two daughters, Ginny (Ross) McKenzie of Raymond and Sheila (Dick) Handley of Red Deer, as well as 20 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by four sisters, Leon Lawson of Lethbridge, Vera Heninger of Raymond, Eudora (Ken) Restall of Picture Butte and Marie (Peter) Jones of Calgary. Gladys was born to Ernest and Ellen Nilsson in Raymond on February 15, 1917. She married Ross Dennis King and made her home in Raymond all of her life. In addition to operating an egg grading station with LaVeda Hague for several years, she also worked at the G & G Dairy Bar with Gertie Fairbanks, the Raymond Post Office and the Golf Club House. Gladys was faithful to all of her callings in the church and enjoyed going to the temple. She was a devoted mother and was very proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends may meet the family at the church prior to the service from 12:00 noon until 12:40 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Raymond Knight Street Chapel, on Wednesday, July 16, 1997 at 1:00 p.m. with Bishop Bill Stephen officiating. Interment to follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond. In honour of Gladys' memory, the family requests that memorial tributes be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Lethbridge, AB.
