Description	:	Gladys Louise Hunt, 81, died Saturday, July 22, 2006, at Avera St. Luke's Hospital, Aberdeen. She was born Oct. 16, 1924, to Elmer and Anna (Holscher) White of Norbeck. She graduated from Cresbard High School in 1941. She worked at the ASC office in Faulkton and later went to the West Coast and worked in a defense factory. She returned to Cresbard and married Raymond Hunt Sept. 10, 1945. They lived on a farm near the Davoe Church in Faulk County until 1952 and then moved to Custer and ran the Black Hills Café. She was born Oct. 16, 1924, to Elmer and Anna (Holscher) White of Norbeck. She graduated from Cresbard High School in 1941. She worked at the ASC office in Faulkton and later went to the West Coast and worked in a defense factory. She returned to Cresbard and married Raymond Hunt Sept. 10, 1945. They lived on a farm near the Davoe Church in Faulk County until 1952 and then moved to Custer and ran the Black Hills Café. They also lived in Hot Springs, Spearfish, Mitchell, Aberdeen, Chelsea and Cresbard while her husband worked for the USF&W Services. During the summers they worked at Mount Coolidge in Custer State Park. She worked at the Auditor's Office in Faulk County until her retirement. She was active in the American Legion Auxiliary and was named Legionette of the Year in 1986. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and the Ladies Lutheran Aid. She served on the Community Center board and the museum board. She was instrumental in assisting with getting the Community Center built and the museum organized. Survivors include one son: Robert (Rita), Frankfort; one step-granddaughter: Mrs. Joe (Tami) Steichen, St. Michael, Minn.; three step-grandchildren: Mackenzi, Joseph and Reagan; three brothers: Duane (Maxine) White, Cresbard, Ray (Jan) White, Palmyra, Va., and Marvin (Donna) White, Rapid City; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Raymond, and one daughter: Linda. Redfield Press
