Description	:	Glen A. Fay, 86, of 350 Dublin Drive, Iowa City died Monday September 24, 2007 at Melrose Meadows, Iowa City. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am Friday September 28, 2007 at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Services, 605 Kirkwood Ave, Iowa City. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Private burial will take place at a later time. Glen was born on March 15, 1921 in Saskatchewan, Canada to Albert G. and Louise Ida (Wettley) Fay. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a gunner's mate aboard the U.S.S Halford. His career started as a traveling salesman for Rath Meat Packing Company and, after a brief tenure as a cement layer on the Garrison Dam, he formed Fay Plastering Company and worked in the local building industry for most of his life. During the building slump of the 1970s, he took a retirement job at St. Luke's Hospital which lasted twenty years. He provided occupational training and mentorship for several members of the next generation of plastering contractors. Glen was also a founding member of St. Pius X Parish in Cedar Rapids. Glen Fay is survived by five children; Nancy Harris of Cedar Rapids, Patricia Gobel of Omaha, Julie Monthie of Cedar Rapids, Rosanne Bell of Bondurant, Tom Fay of Tiffin, fourteen grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three siblings: Zoa Hudnal of Modesto, CA, John Fay of Sumner, IA, and James Fay of Mt. Lake Terrace, WA.
