Read More	Glen Albert "Prune" Thompson YUMA, Ariz. - Glen Albert "Prune" Thompson passed away on February 13, 2008 at his daughter's home in Yuma, Arizona. Millie, Cathy, Sharon and his sister-in-law Maxine were at his side when he entered the Kingdom of God. Prune and Millie had been living in Yuma with their daughter Cathy and son-in-law Jim Gardner and in California with their daughter Sharon and son-in-law Jay Brouillette since March 2006. He endured many medical problems the last few years and loved spending each day with family by his side. Prune was born on October 1, 1922 in St. Ignatius to Albert and Caroline Thompson. He was raised in the Mission Valley and graduated from St. Ignatius High School. On April 6, 1947 he married Millie Dudley Trachsel from Ronan. They lived and raised their family in Kalispell. December 12, 1942 he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he proudly served his country in the Pacific Theater during World War II until being Honorably Discharged on November 15, 1945. Prune worked for the Montana State Highway Department for 38 years until his retirement in 1983. He also served the Lord by working at the Central Christian Church in Kalispell as custodian for many years. His devotion, loyalty, kind heart and spirit touched all around him. Prune loved the outdoors, fishing at the North Fork, hiking with the church group, working in his beautifully landscaped home on Meridian Road for 45 years and even learning to down hill ski at 50 years old. Prune was a gentle, quiet man, who loved his family and greatly enjoyed spending time with his daughters and their families. In his later years he got greatly enjoyed reading and solving puzzle books. One of his biggest delights was seeing his grandchildren become successful hard-working young adults. Prune is survived by his wife Millie; his daughters Cathy (Jim) Gardner and Sharon (Jay) Brouillette; his granddaughters Jacy (Matt) Rothschiller, Sara Gardner and Carrie (Mark) McCulloch; grandsons Zachary (Misty) Brouillette and Eric Gardner; great-grandchildren Zachary Rothschiller and Faith and Isabel McCulloch; and, his nephews Bill Thompson, Tom (Donna) Delaney, Jerry (Connie) Delaney and Wayne (Linda) Delaney. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Caroline Thompson, his brother Ignatius Thompson and his sister Anna Delaney. He is and will be greatly missed by his family but he has left us all with many good memories. Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on October 25, 2008 at Pleasant View Cemetery in St. Ignatius with Military Honors being presented by the Mission Valley Honor Guard. Following the service you are invited to attend a luncheon in Prune's honor at the St. Ignatius Senior Center.
