Description	:	SKOWHEGAN - Glen C. Harrington Sr., also known as Jake, 69, of Skowhegan, passed away peacefully Friday, Dec. 16, 2011, in Skowhegan, with his family by his side. Jake was born Nov. 6, 1942, in Portsmouth, N.H., the son of the late Glen and Alice (Stickney) Harrington. He was a loving, devoted husband to Kathleen E. (Eagen) Harrington. He supported his family by being an employee of three local shoe factories, Norrwock Shoe, Dexter Shoe and New Balance. Harrington Sr., also known as Jake, 69, of Skowhegan, passed away peacefully Friday, Dec. 16, 2011, in Skowhegan, with his family by his side. Jake was born Nov. 6, 1942, in Portsmouth, N.H., the son of the late Glen and Alice (Stickney) Harrington. He was a loving, devoted husband to Kathleen E. (Eagen) Harrington. He supported his family by being an employee of three local shoe factories, Norrwock Shoe, Dexter Shoe and New Balance. He was always willing to share a story, give advice, do carpentry work, or play his mandolin and sing a song for us. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Kathleen E. Harrington of Skowhegan; three children, Barry L. Harrington of Deer Isle, Glen Harrington Jr. and wife Janet of Madison, and Laurie LaCasse of Skowhegan; two siblings, Vivian Steward of Skowhegan, and Donald Harrington of Madison; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law and friend Robin James of Skowhegan. Jake was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Harold and Ronald Harrington. Jake will be laid to rest beside his parents and brothers at a graveside service to be held at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison.
