From the December 5, 1918 Skidmore News, page 1: "Died from Pneumonia Glen E. Wright, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Wright, three and one-fourth miles west of Skidmore, died early Tuesday morning. His death was due to pneumonia following an attack of influenza. He is survived by his parents and two brothers, Ralph, who is at Camp Funston, and Burman, at home, and three sisters, Mrs. Joseph Lehman, and Misses Ruby and Gladys. From the December 12, 1918 Skidmore News, page 1: "Glen Ernest Wright, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. David Wright was born January 9, 1902, died Dec. 3, 1918, aged 16years 10 months 24 days. Early in childhood he was converted and united with the church at Burr Oak and was a faithful attendant upon all the church services. He was a boy well beloved by all who knew him by his happy and congenial disposition. He was indeed the life and light of the home and the bereaved family has truly sustained an irreparable loss. But the sunny disposition and congenial spirit of Glen will still live in the home and in the community as a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him. A short funeral service was held at the home conducted by the pastor, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Burr Oak cemetery."
