Description	:	A funeral Mass will be celebrated for Glen J. Fuchs, 74, at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Potlatch, Idaho. Rev. Mark Schumacher will be the celebrant. Cremation will follow the service and burial will take place at the Uniontown Catholic Cemetery. Fuchs died Friday morning at the Veterans Regional Medical Center in Spokane from causes related to age. He was born Oct. 14, 1924, at Uniontown to George J. and Josephine M. Reisenauer Fuchs. He attended schools at Uniontown and Plummer, Idaho. Fuchs entered the U. S. Army on Oct. 31, 1942. He served in the European Theater during World War II and was discharged as a Private First Class in the 64th Air Drome Squadron of the 9th Tactical Air Command. He later continued his service in Alaska during the Korean War from 1949 to 1953. On Dec. 25, 1952, he married Dorothy Bryant Epler at Kennewick. In 1953 they moved to Potlatch, Idaho where he has lived since. His wife died in Nov. 1997. He worked for Potlatch Forests, Inc., at the Potlatch Mill as a pipe fitter until the mill closed in the 1980s. Fuchs was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Potlatch; and of a member of the Knights of Columbus; a member and Past Commander of Potlatch Post No. 10300 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars; and a member of the Potlatch American Legion Post, No. 81. He also served nire than 25 years as a Potlatch Fire Department Volunteer. Survivors include one stepson, Ron Epler of Potlatch; one stepdaughter, Marsha Stansell of Bellevue, Wash.; one sister, Sister Ida Mae Fuchs of Cottonwood; and several stepgrandchildren and great grandchildren. Rosary will be recited on Monday at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Memorials may be made to the Potlatch Ambulance Fund at Potlatch, Idaho.
