Nihart, 78, died unexpectedly at his home in the Brazelton Hotel about 11:15 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 1975, apparently from a coronary attack. Maude Alma Nihart, 78, died at Henry County Memorial Hospital about 1 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 1975, also from an apparent coronary attack. Mr. Nihart, the son of William and Martha Dowell Nihart, was born July17, 1896, in Henry County. Mrs. Nihart, the daughter of Clayton L. and Eliza Edwards McKenzie, was born July 18, 1896, in Henry County, Mr. Nihart operated a service station for 20 years. Mr. and Mrs. Nihart operated motels in Pella and Washington, and were owners and operators of the former Brazelton Hotel until their retirement in 1968. They were members of the First United Methodist Church and of the White Shrine. They were married on March 8, 1917, at Burlington. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Doyle (Bev) Moxely of Mt. Pleasant; one son Glen Nihart Jr. of Kenmore, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Nihart is survived by one brother, Clyde of Agency, Mrs. Nihart is survived by three brothers and three sisters, Claude McKenzie of Ruthven, Boyd McKenzie of Battle Creek, Mich. And Grant McKenzie, Mrs. Keith (Grace) Truitt of La Mesa, Calif., Mrs. Milton (Hope) Setterberg of San Diego, Calif. and Mrs. Helen Benko of Burbank, Calif. They were preceded in death by one son. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6, at the First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Carl Wilson will officiate with interment in Forest Home Cemetery. Friends may call at the Crane-Ewart Young Funeral Home as they desire after noon Saturday. Those friends who wish may contribute to the Heart Fund in memory of Mr. and Mrs. Nihart.
