Description	:	Glen was born September 8, 1899 at Atlanta, Nebraska and came to live his boyhood in the Beecher Island community in 1901. He married Angie Alberta Klie on October 16, 1921 at the Armel Church parsonage near the Lansing School. Angie was born May 19, 1899 in her grandfather's old rock house on the homestead near Gurney, Kansas. In 1907, her family moved to Colorado near the state line onto her father's homestead. Read More	Glen was born September 8, 1899 at Atlanta, Nebraska and came to live his boyhood in the Beecher Island community in 1901. He married Angie Alberta Klie on October 16, 1921 at the Armel Church parsonage near the Lansing School. Angie was born May 19, 1899 in her grandfather's old rock house on the homestead near Gurney, Kansas. In 1907, her family moved to Colorado near the state line onto her father's homestead. Glen and Angie lived on rented farms in the Armel and Beecher Island areas. Due to ill health, they moved to Tiny Town, Colorado in the mountains in the fall of 1934. They decided to come back to the plains of Colorado in the fall of 1936 purchasing the Roy Brooks farm in the Hale area. They had five children, Mildred Alberta, Dale Harold, Glen Royal, Edwin Earle, and George Oliver. Glen died in March of 1941 while at home. After his death, Angie and her family kept the farm going until Dale and his wife Janet Shaver and girls bought the place in 1957. Alberta and husband Robert Schritter and family lived in the Fort Lupton area. Glen and wife Velma Spelts and girls lived west of Wray on the Colorado State Fish Rearing Unit. Earle and wife Janis Probasco and girls lived in Eckley. George and wife Kay Stone and family lived in Anchorage, Alaska. Angie moved to Wray in the late summer of 1959 to enjoy her retirement. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ He signed a WWI draft registration card at Wray, Colorado giving his date of birth as September 8, 1899. Description: age 19, tall, medium build, light blue eyes, dark brown hair. He was living at Wray, farming for Adolph Soehner at Armel. His father O. E. Ekberg of Wray was named as his nearest relative.
