Harms, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Harms, who was drowned in Korea about two weeks ago, will be held about the middle of August, according to the best information available at this time. According to a telegram received by his parents a letter is to follow, giving details of the tragedy. The victim was a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Harms, who died of carbon monoxide poisoning Dec. 18, 1945. His uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Siebels, and his cousin, Sylvia Siebels, were victims of the same tragedy. Word of the droening was received Sunday, June 29, a few days after a letter from the boy had arrived, telling of a 21-day furlough, part of which he spent in Japan. Service For Drowning Victim At Grant Luth. Church Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock for Glenn F. Harms, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Harms, Grant township, who was drowned at Korea on June 24th. Rev. F. O. Bunge will officiate at the services which will be held at the Grant Township Lutheran church. Interment will be in the Grant Township Cemetery. Glenn F. Harms was born on April 21, 1926, at Akron, and attended the Grant Township school. On April 21, 1926, at Akron, and attended the Grant Township school. On April 9, 1946 he enlisted in the army at Fort Snelling, Minn., and was sent to Korea where he had been stationed since. He was twenty-one years, two months and 23 days old at the time of his death. Mr. Harms was a member of the Grant Township Luther League. Surviving are his parents, two sisters Shirley Ann, a twin sister, Gleenes, two brothers, Marlin and Douglas, and his grandmother, Mrs. Mary Witt of Akron. Pall-bearers for the service will be Raymond Hartman, Kenneth Renken, Ervin Harm, John Luschen, Mike Grosenheider, and Wallace Heeren. Luken’s Funeral home was in charge.
