Description	:	Glenda L. Clemons, 61, of Scottsbluff, passed peacefully at her home Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, with her loving husband, Wilber at her side. To commemorate the life of this wonderful woman who will forever remain in our hearts, a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct 19 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ronald Nuss-Warren officiating. Glenda was born in Scottsbluff Aug. 14, 1944, to Lotus and Glen Smock. She grew up in Gering, where she attended school and graduated from Gering High School in 1962. Glenda married Wilber E. Clemons Dec. 31, 1982. She and Wilber owned and operated the Skyport Restaurant and Lounge for 15 years until ill health forced her into retirement in 1997 when she began renal dialysis. In April of 2000 she received the generous gift of a kidney transplant from her son Steve, and in 2003 she contracted West Nile Virus. She endured a two-year struggle with this disease. Glenda enjoyed many things in life, but spending time with her husband and family was a priority. One of her greatest passions in life was gardening. She loved and enjoyed gardening in her yard and was awarded the "Golden Spade" award on two different occasions. Glenda had the "greenest thumb in Scotts Bluff County" and was admired by her friends and neighbors for her wisdom and knowledge in gardening. He family and friends will miss her immensely. She is survived by her husband Wilber; children Stacy (Rod) Ingersoll of Scottsbluff, Steve (Shannon) Van Noy of Kearney, and Dana Miller of Minatare; grandchildren Nick, Brock, Kayla, Abby and Cody; her mother Lotus Hammack of Scottsbluff; and step-children Bart Clemons of Omaha and Rhonda Zebolsky of Omaha.
