There will be no visitation as she was cremated per her wishes. Glenda Sue Elston was born October 24, 1951 in Plainview to Dwain and Verletta (Brokaw) Petersen. She grew up on a farm northeast of Brunswick. She attended the Country School South of Creighton and Plainview School. Glenda was married to David Karmann for 12 years. To this union five children were born. She was then married to Bob Elston for 35 years. Throughout her life Glenda lived in Norfolk, Plainview and Sleepy Eye, MN. Glenda worked at Paul’s Grocery store and then Mitch’s for 11 years. She worked for Home Health for 3 years. She was also a housekeeper for 11 years. Glenda enjoyed visiting her children and grandchildren. She also recently enjoyed spending time with her puppy Bella. Glenda is survived by her five children Amy (Travis) Fulton of Sleepy Eye, MN, David Karmann Jr. of Stanton, Kelli (Steve) Mosel of Plainview, Stacy Nava (Kevin Hrbek) of Norfolk and Jodi (Tony) Nissen of Grand Island. Fifteen grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Her siblings Randy (Donna) Petersen and Suzanne Petersen all of Plainview, Patty (EL) Anderson of Creighton and Kevin (Carolyn) Petersen of Brunswick. Uncles Eldean Brokaw and Dennis (Shirley) Brokaw. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and former spouses David Karmann and Bob Elston. She was preceded in death by her parents Dwain and Verletta and granddaughter Caitlyn Karmann. The family requests that memorials be made to the family for a later designation.
