Description	:	CHURCHILL, Glenice Miriam – 77, of The Meadows Home for Special Care in Yarmouth, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 17, 2012 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. She was the daughter of Thomas and Mildred Williams of Fort Fairfield, Maine. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband A. Clayton Churchill. She is survived by her children, Peter (Rachelle LeBlanc); Timothy (Mia Brillantes); Randy (Charlotte); Kenneth (Brenda Mortimer); Allison (Claudette); Robin (Beth); Carrie (Darren) McGrath; 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was the daughter of Thomas and Mildred Williams of Fort Fairfield, Maine. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband A. Clayton Churchill. She is survived by her children, Peter (Rachelle LeBlanc); Timothy (Mia Brillantes); Randy (Charlotte); Kenneth (Brenda Mortimer); Allison (Claudette); Robin (Beth); Carrie (Darren) McGrath; 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She and her husband Clayton were part of the founding members of the Yarmouth Wesleyan Church. She was the church organist and treasurer there for many years and enjoyed many happy fellowship times with church members. She also served as church organist for the Zion Baptist church for a time. As a young woman, she worked at various local restaurants as a cook. She also worked at Tidal View Manor in the administration office and taught piano lessons. She was a loving and supportive wife to Clayton and mother to seven children, and she took pride in taking care of them and providing a nurturing home. One of her favorite things over her lifetime was the time she spent at Beulah Camp each summer. It was a place to connect with old friends, far away family members and spiritual renewal. She had a strong faith in God. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will take place Tuesday, March 20 from 7-9 p.m. at Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 27 at 3 p.m. from Yarmouth Wesleyan Church with Rev. Karl Gorman officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in Yarmouth Mountain Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Glenice’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
