Description	:	Glenn D. Rose, 78, of Helena went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 20, 2008, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Woodside to Clarence G. Rose and Lois Irene Peters on Aug. 9, 1929. At the early age of 12, he moved in with William and Lillian Jenkins and helped farm near Corvallis. Glenn married Joy Paddock on Feb. 18, 1949, and together they moved to Helena in 1951, and started work at the ASARCO Smelter in East Helena. He retired from there at the age of 63. He also worked at the Garden... Read More	Glenn D. Rose, 78, of Helena went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 20, 2008, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Woodside to Clarence G. Rose and Lois Irene Peters on Aug. 9, 1929. At the early age of 12, he moved in with William and Lillian Jenkins and helped farm near Corvallis. Glenn married Joy Paddock on Feb. 18, 1949, and together they moved to Helena in 1951, and started work at the ASARCO Smelter in East Helena. He retired from there at the age of 63. He also worked at the Garden Spot Market, Moore's Grocery, and the Masonic Dairy Farm. He also worked as a semi-truck driver for Ray Barber Trucking. He did various odd jobs at night after work. Glenn loved to travel and go camping. He loved to fish and woodworking in his garage and enjoyed a wide variety of music. Glenn was preceded in death by his father, Clarence G. Rose; his mother, Lois Irene Peters; two sisters, Fern Simmonson and Georgia Davis; and two brothers, Marvin and Lester Rose; and a son-in-law, Lee Pope. Glenn is survived by his wife, Joy Rose; three daughters, Judy Pope of Helena, Mischief Winninghoff of East Helena, and Jolee (William) Good Track of Wolf Point; special friends, Ray Baugh of Clancy, and Margaret and Joe Leggett of Wolf Point; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Interment services will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
