Read More	Last Rites Held Sunday For Glenn L. Peteson Friends were shocked and grieved to learn of the death of Glenn Lee Peterson, 19-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Peterson, who passed away at the Webster hospital, Wednesday July 13. Glenn was born at Groton on August 16, 1929, and lived with his parents, four miles south of this city, until the time of his death. He received the first six years of his education in a rural school, before attending the Groton public schools. For several years he was engaged in farming with his father, but assumed full operation of the Peterson farm last fall. The departed leaves to mourn his passing, besides his parents, one brother, Ralph Peterson of Stratford and one sister, Mrs. Clarence Blank of Roslyn. Glenn was a promising, ambitious young farmer and took a keen interest in his work. He was admired by a large circle of friends for his cheerful and kindly disposition and upright character, and his passing brought sorrow to both young and old, and especially to his grief-stricken parents, sister and brother. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at St. John's Lutheran church in Groton, with the Rev. J. E. Schwarting officiating. Burial was in the Groton union cemetery. Pallbearers were Jack and Donald Simonson, Marvin Harry, Rangvold Larson, Clare Cowan and Wallace Bahr. Among those here from a distance to attend the last rites were: Harry Jonson, Minneapolis; Charles E. Johnson, Green Bay, Wis.; Mrs. Ing. Olson, Albert Lea, Minn.; Marcella Wagner, Rochester, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Schmidt, Seward, Neb.; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Blank, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Blank and son, Edward, of Roslyn, and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Hanson of Aberdeen.
