He was born May 17, 1925 in El Dorado, Kansas the son of Ammi and Lydia (Spain) Corfman. He grew up on a farm south of El Dorado and attended schools both at Leon and El Dorado. Read More	****************** El Dorado, KS - December 17, 2007 Glenn Lesley Corfman, died December 17, 2007 in El Dorado, Kansas. He was born May 17, 1925 in El Dorado, Kansas the son of Ammi and Lydia (Spain) Corfman. He grew up on a farm south of El Dorado and attended schools both at Leon and El Dorado. He served his country during WW II in the Merchant Marines. On September 2, 1943 he married Letha Griffith at the Christian Church parsonage in Nickerson, Kansas. He has lived in the Butler County area all of his life. He was a master welder and partner in P & T Welding of El Dorado. After his partner Virgil Volk retired he continued to weld, forming a company called Glenn's Welding Service. Memberships included the First Christian Church and the Patmos Masonic Lodge # 97 A.F. & A.M. and the Wichita Consistory. He loved collecting coins, having a garden, and dancing in the Chelsea Squares square dancing group. Glenn will be remembered as a wonderful, honest, principled family man. Surviving family include his wife, Letha of the home; one daughter Debbie and husband Bud Strange of Augusta, KS; sisters Gladys Volk of El Dorado, KS, Nellie Chapman of Hollister, MO, and Elizabeth Chapman of El Dorado, KS; grandchildren, Julie, Christina, Denita, Devin, Ashley, and Matthew; great grandchuildren, Athena, Aimery, and Jackson. He was preceded in death by one daughter Deena Miller, three brothers, and one sister. Funeral services will be December 21,2007 at Kirby-Morris Funeral Chapel in El Dorado, Kansas. Burial will follow in Walnut Valley Memorial Park, El Dorado, Kansas. Memorials have been established with either the First Christian Church of Patmos or Masonic Lodge. ********************
