Glenna Faye Keller was born November 19, 1931 in rural Brooklyn, Iowa, the daughter of James V. and Gertrude Kenyon Keller. She graduated from Brooklyn High School in 1949, and married Robert John "Bob" Evans on June 15, 1949 at Madison Church of Christ, rural Brooklyn. Glenna was active assisting her husband, farming and with his business, Evans Construction, and volunteering in the community. She was an ambulance driver for Poweshiek County, and managed the roller skating rink in Brooklyn. She was a lifetime member of the Madison Church of Christ, and taught Sunday school and Bible school for many years. She helped with the Methodist Church donation center for many years. In earlier years she was active in 4-H, winning many awards and showing the champion dairy heifer at the fairs. She enjoyed her antiques, flowers, cats, bowling, and riding horses.
