She was born on October 23, 1929, to John and Amy (Troyer) Holt in Bluffton, Ohio. On November 10, 1951, she married Wayne W. Cooper. Glenna was a member of First Baptist Church of Defiance. She was formerly a member and taught Sunday school at the Evangelical Methodist Church in Defiance. Glenna worked at Woolworths Department Store in Defiance and the Cannery in Paulding. Glenna is survived by her loving spouse, Wayne; sons, David (Arlene) Cooper and Mark Cooper, both of Defiance, and Mitchell (Anita) Cooper of Bryan; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Amy Holt; brothers, Willis Holt, Clyde Holt and Homer Holt; and sisters, Luella McVay and Mary Rhodes. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2014, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio, and 10-11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Defiance. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2014, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Defiance, with Rev. Tim Yazel officiating. Burial will take place in the Poplar Ridge Cemetery, Adams Township. The family requests memorials be directed to First Baptist Church, Defiance.
