Description	:	Glenna M. Tippett, 86, died Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Ms. Tippett was born June 5, 1930, in the Pleasant Hill Community of Georgetown County. She was a daughter of the late Rev. James Reginald Miller and the late Daisy Eunice Pope Miller. Ms. Tippett was a member of First Baptist Church where she formerly sang in the choir and Singing Christmas Tree. While living in Durham, NC, she worked as a nurse at both Durham hospitals and later served as an in-home care nurse in Georgetown. She enjoyed reading, singing and caring for others. She was... Read More	Glenna M. Tippett, 86, died Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Ms. Tippett was born June 5, 1930, in the Pleasant Hill Community of Georgetown County. She was a daughter of the late Rev. James Reginald Miller and the late Daisy Eunice Pope Miller. Ms. Tippett was a member of First Baptist Church where she formerly sang in the choir and Singing Christmas Tree. While living in Durham, NC, she worked as a nurse at both Durham hospitals and later served as an in-home care nurse in Georgetown. She enjoyed reading, singing and caring for others. She was survived by a son, James Geary Harrelson of Myrtle Beach; two grandchildren, Kimberly H. (Donnie) Markease of Catawba and Cynthia H. (Craig) Hanna of Andrews; five great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and the entire Harrelson family. She was predeceased by a son, L.H. Harrelson, Jr.; two sisters, Evelyn Moore and Bertha Moore; and two brothers, David Italy Miller and Reg Kinley Miller. Funeral services were Friday, March 10, 2017, in First Baptist Church. Burial followed in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. Ridgeway Funeral Home of Georgetown was in charge of arrangements.
