Description	:	Gloria Edith Bills, 87, of Nevada, passed away Friday, June 17, 2011, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2011, at Memorial Lutheran Church, 701 11th St., Nevada. Burial will follow in Nevada Municipal Cemetery. Gloria was born to Roscoe and Elsie (Berns) Pritchard on Jan. 6, 1924, in Collins. She was a 1942 graduate of Maxwell High School. On Sept. 30, 1944, she married Chester Bills in Nevada. Of this union, three children were born. Gloria worked at the Ordinance Plant in Ankeny, and she worked and retired in 1981 as supervisor of the hot lunch program for the Nevada Community Schools. She was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church, Mary Esther Circle, American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 48, and Women of the Moose Lodge No. 733. Those left to cherish her loving memories are her three children, Judith Blair, Sharon (Richard) Sears and Craig (Pam Deitrick) Bills; one grandson, Andrew (Todd Robinson) Sears; one great-granddaughter, Sydney Sears; three step-grandsons; seven step-great-grandchildren; and Larry and Connie Cameron. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chet, on Nov. 18, 2002; her son-in-law, Ted Blair; and one grandson, Timothy Sears.
