Description	:	Gloria Wynja 52, of Sioux Center died Wednesday, March 1, 1995 at a Sioux City Hospital. Services were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center with the Rev. Robert Drenten officiating. Burial followed in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation was at 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m Friday, March 3, with the family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m., at the Memorial Funeral Home. She was born July 13, 1942, in Hull, the daugther or Lou and Gerdena (Vreeman) DeBoer. She moved with her family to Sioux Center when she was nine. She graduated from Western Christian High School and went on to complete a two-year education course at Dordt College. She then taught school for two years. She married Verdean Wynja August 6, 1963, at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center. They lived in Orange City for two years before moving to the family farm south of Hull. She worked at the Sioux Center Community Hospital. Mrs. Wynja was very active in her church, serving as head organist and a member of Mary's Fellowship. Survivors include her husband; a daughter and her husband, Pam and Lyle De Wit of Ireton; two sons and their wives, Kevin and Sandi of Sioux Center, and Scott and Melanie of Sioux City; three grandchildren, Shawna, Jason, and Cassandra De Wit; and her mother of Sioux Center. She was preceded in death by her father; her step father, Wiebe DeVries; and three sisters. Memorials may be sent to Western Christian High School in Hull. Hawarden Independent 1995-03-09.
