Born July 11, 1913, in Havana to Weaver and Hattie Hoke Morris, she married Garfield Pellhum on Aug. 23, 1929. He died Nov. 23, 1969. She married John Powell on May 22, 1972. He died Nov. 22, 1972. One daughter, Mary Agnes Pellhum, two sons, Gilbert and Wayne Pellhum, two brothers, one sister and her stepfather, George Kelly, preceded her in death. Surviving are two daughters, Viola Bolen of Peoria and Harriett Shirley of Springfield; four sons, Arthur Pellhum of St. Bernard, Fla., Harry Pellhum of Havana, Kenneth Pellhum of Waynesville, Mo., and George Pellhum of Tacoma, Wash.; one stepson, Dwight Rennison of Havana; one stepdaughter, Pearl Parr of Des Moines, Iowa; two brothers, Frank Morris of Osceola, Iowa, and Edward Morris of Michigan; one half sister, Leona Gardner of Havana; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
